I was just looking at the Bayport Yachting Centre webcam and the water in the marina is just like glass. Beautiful! Many boats have already been launched. Our boat will be launched on Saturday April 21. Can't wait!!

Using your Laptop on the Boat

If you have an I phone, you can use it to connect your laptop to the Internet. Simply go to settings on your I Phone and turn on the feature called Personal Hotspot. If you have I tunes downloaded on your Laptop, simply use a USB port and the I phone cable (white one usually) to connect the laptop and I phone together. Yesterday, I went to Midland once again...this time to re-connect with an old pal from Temiscaming who I have not seen for 40 years. What a great time reminiscing and talking about boating on beautiful Georgian Bay.

Yesterday, I spent most of the day at Bayport Yachting Centre in Midland puttering around on my boat (which is still in inside storage) and talking with the Larry, skipper of Laramar. He is already in the water and at his slip. The water suplly will be turned on next week sometime and launching of boats will begin in earnest next week as well.

Weather is just perfect  here.

Foggy out in the bay. Large patches of ice ( slush) inPenetang Bay. May be gone when the fog lifts.

 Open water  in the gap. As of last Friday water levelwas up 7" above last years YTD.

Did not have a lot of lake effect snow or evaporation from extreme cold dry weather.

Would expect water level to drop significantly as the LakeSuperior basin did not have much snow either resulting in decrease
